Alex Mctigue currently teaches in the photography department at the School of Visual Arts, and at Columbia University in New York City. He is an LP candidate at Pulsion, The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics. In 2017 he was a participant of the SOMA summer residency program in Mexico City, and was a visual arts resident at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, NY in 2023. His recently published book, Of the night, by the city, was made in conjunction with Penumbra Foundation during the risograph print residency program and has a self published book, Petit Mal.
